Actor Daniela Melchior will have a “small role” in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, according to a Deadline report that was subsequently confirmed by writer-director James Gunn. Melchior’s role hasn’t been revealed yet, but Gunn has reaffirmed that she will not be portraying Moondragon.
Filming wrapped on the trilogy-completing sequel in early May. To mark the occasion, Gunn shared a photo of him with nearly all the main stars–though many noticed that Zoe Saldaña, who plays Gamora, was noticeably missing. Gunn explained at the time he did not post a picture of Saldaña because the only photo he has of her includes an “unannounced actor” that will appear in the film–though, intriguingly, this new report reveals that mystery actor is not Melchior. It’s also not Keanu Reeves, as has been widely speculated.
